Let's hear what everyone is using their Boss pedals for... What kind of music/what kind of band, etc.
I play a mix of rock, pop, rockabilly and punk. Current pedal board setup: TU2/OD1/BD2 (or TS9)/DD2

| I play metal, hard rock, blues, alt rock, and other stuff like that. I really don't try to follow anyone, just play what feels right just for fun.(I've never played guitar in a band yet.) |

Yeah I'll go with Bossarea. Mostly 70's and 80's rock/pop covers. Cars/ Clapton/ ACDC/ occasionally some G'N'R if I'm feeling game.
Although my age will betray me a bit here... I do have a strong affection for a lot of 90's alternate rock and indie stuff. Pearl Jam/ Foo Fighters/ ACDC/ more recent stuff like Jet/ Foo Fighters/ Bush/
Not that I can play it. But I am a HUUUUUUUUGE "The Living End" fan If I can figure out how to copy some clips off of a DVD i have, I'll post a link.
No one since Chet Atkins has played a guitar with such finesse speed and and accuracy! That may be a bold statement but I've seen Satriani, Vai, Malsteem. There all Gods in there own right but lack... Finesse. Just My humble opinion. |

Ive played since the late 60s and during all these years improvisation is the key word. Im greatly influenced by the Swedish Progg-movement from the late 60s to the middle of the 70s. Thats a completly Scandinavian music form, influenced by rock, blues, folk-music from the whole world, primarely instrumental and improvisional. Blues has always been there for me, no pedals used.... Robert Fripp have always been a big influence, I plays a lot of so called live-looping-music, lots of pedals used... Nowadays I mostly play in my sons band, its a form the forementioned Progg. Long instrumental improvisations, voices used as instruments if wished. The last 15 years I have always played for my own amusement, as you understand there is no big public for 30 minutes of psychedelia... Summary: I prefer the Garage before the stage, the strange before the known. |

I play in a guitar-poprockband. We do our own stuff. Leadguitarist uses a GT-6. Rythme-guitarist uses a DS-1 and a CE-5. I'm the bass player and my pedalchain at the moment is: LS-2/(TU-2)/CS-3/CE-2B/BF-2B. The TU-2 is kept out of the chain. The CS-3 still doesn't sound the way I want it and I am thinking about a fuzz-pedal for the heavier rocksongs. I do use the chorus and flanger together in a lot of our songs. Still need to do some tweeking to get the sound completely wright but I'm getting there |

Prog/thrash...but my bass player likes to catagorize us as 'fight metal'. I like the high energy stuff that gives me that release i need when the state of the world gives me the shits....and lets face it, it can be pretty crappy sometimes. Plus its a constant challenge of speed and technicality. If ya want top hear us go to www.unknownaddiction.com , that material is a couple of years old now and with any luck and a couple of months we are recording the rest of our brand of metal....enjoy. Cheers |

I play in a ambient-electro concept, in fact we are two, me doing the music with machines (synths (moog, juno 60), beatboxes, strange instruments, samplers, etc...while the other guy is showing diaporamas of his photo-work.. We describe our set as a travel The aim of the "band" is to provide a sensorial experience to the audience, as we also have two girls with us, who make people smell odours during our set, in order to have a more precise feel of the music..
I use my beloved pedal (PS2,CE1,PH1r,SD1,DD3,NS2,FZ3,CE3,PH2,OC2, but also memory-man,moog filter,frequency analyser,EBS IQ,alesis metavox,modded crybaby,etc...)to modifie the textures in a realtime-way...

Chiming in a little late but...
Blues-charged funk. Heavy blues. Lots of fingerstyle & hybrid picking. Any style that puts an emphasis on tone, really. |
