Hi
I've had a ME10 for many years now and use it as an integral part of my main sound. Problem it has started to go wrong.....
Basically, every 7 - 8 seconds there is a pop/click type noise. Very regular in it's timing and always the same noise, unless you change patch. It *is* effected by the patch, so with dealy on you get the pop/click followed by an echo of the noise!
Then at around the same time the pitch shift stopped working.
Anyone come across similar or got any ideas what's wrong with it?
Cheers

Hi Max Dread
Look for cracked joints dry joints. The 5 and the 10 both suffer from cracked joints.
This is the most common fault/s, that I have seen on the few that have been here in the lab, getting a service & long needed holiday.
Also look for dried out, or bulging electrolytic capacitors.
Did you ever spill ANY type of liquid on it? Did you even drop it, or have you jarred it heavily?

Thanks for the reply.
I cannot think of any times I have dropped, jarred, spilt liquid, etc. etc. - but then that's not to say it hasn't happened. The unit was used at gigs and was taken to rehearsals every week up until when it started to wrong. So I guess anything could have happened to it!
SO does the 8 second pop thing sound like it could be caused by the things you describe? Just sounds like a weird fault to me!!!
Cheers
