Hi all,

I'm going to grab my new dd-7 tomorrow for the packed features. But I've heard rave reviews of the dd-2 delay and rv-2 reverb pedals of old. What is a fair price or best price that I could get for these?

On that subject, anyone have any extras lying around?

I never can my local pawn shops that don't sell anything under 100 dollars.

Thanks,
Caleb

piano:

both the DD-2 and RV-2 will be similarly priced, with the DD-2 being slightly more expensive.

average clearing price on the DD-2 is around $90-110. "good deal" range is anything below $80.

average clearing price on the RV-2 is around $80-100. "good deal range" is basically anything below $75.

i'm not sure i'd recommend sinking that much money into digital pedals...

an MIJ DD-3 will sound very similar to the DD-2 and probably be a touch cheaper.

hey mully, I have a dc-2 but I think I have a sale lined up for that and I don't think they're quite the same in value. But if you want to sell it hit me up.

zentropa any reason for not sinking that much in digital pedals. I heard the rv-2 is the best boss reverb and I don't really like the spring pedals.

Thanks,
Caleb

well I'm very interested in a DC-2

so if the buyer chickens out:

I'd put in another pedal for that so you'd get the RV-2 and depending on the condition of the DC-2 you'd get another pedal as well...

good condition DC-2 with box and all would get you - RV-2 + NOS LM-2
- RV-2 + XT-2
good condition but without box would get you - RV-2 + Marshall ED-1
- RV-2 + Ibanez GEL
not so good condition would be just the RV-2

stuff like that - you don't seem to have an email button so just use mine and we can discuss this further if the buyer of the DC-2 turns out not to be one.

to be fair though... the RV-2 while sounding superb is a noisy little unit on some settings... not compressor noisy but noisy none the less.

I'd keep it if it wasn't for the noise tbh

the RV-2 is the best boss reverb pedal. that being said, i think a holy grail sounds better. if you want to stick with boss, the RV-2 is probably the best choice.

as for sinking a bunch into digital pedals, i was mainly looking at the delay. i wouldn't invest more than $90 into a delay pedal that isn't analog. there's a handful of MIJ digi delays available and keeping options open you can probably score one for $80 or less.
