I'm with silvertone on this one, no suckage here either. About the accuracy, I wouldn't worry too much about how many cents this or that tuner is off, sometimes you can tune each string perfectly, strike a chord and your guitar is way out of tune anyway. This usually depends on how good the guitar is setup and intonated, how dirty the strings are and how well new strings are stretched. Same thing with most Detuners, flip em to D all is fine, flip 'em back to E without pulling the string, out of tune. That's just the nature of the beast. Try this for laughs, hook up your guitar to a tuner, tune it up to pitch and move your guitar upside down, with the strings facing down. Ten to one it goes a few cents out of tune So why bother? That could also happen onstage during a rockstar pose playing with your guitar behind your head like Jimi, not even mentioning the effect that hot stage lights have on some guitarnecks.
My advise, the TU-2 is an accurate enough convenient pedal tuner for live and bedroom use, use it as a guide and tune your instrument from there using your ears. |
