Hi Dr Bob. Yes the Ink stamped 'serial' numbers are actually batch numbers so it's common to find pedals with the same number on them.
I have two CE-2's with a 9700 batch number! |

The ink stamped numbers are in fact month numbers. The earliest ink stamped pedals have serial 6400 (Nov 77) while the last ones were stamped with 0500 (Apr 81).
This is not confirmed by Boss but all research comparing transistor codes, IC codes and pot codes indicates this is how the numbering system works. |

Hey Guys! I'm back! Just got an XT-2 for $25! While I do admit that the sound for standard tuning if a bit too much. But. Put it on a guitar that is tuned down, or a 7 string and your good to go! I use it alot! Very happy with it. |

Just got myself a Spectrum (SP-1) at last! Been after one for a while and got it for a very relatively reasonable price.
Not a very spectacular effect but I like what it does to my tone. |

Today I got this wonderful story to tell.. but the end might be bad for me..
I got a friend that use a OS-2 and yesterday he said, when I started to speak 'bout pedals, that he also got this old red boss pedal.. and I said to him "Boss just made 2 red pedals (excluding the rc-2)" And today I talk to his father and he said "It's like a treble booster" And my knees started to shake and I ask him "does it called Spectrum?" And he like "Yes, that's it" I said like "could I have it?" He answered that he will give it to me when he finds it.. I'll hope he find it or else I will cry! Sorry for my bad english.. Somebody want to hear it in swedish? Göran? |

NOS PW-2 in da house! I didn't hold my guns like I normally do but $70 out the door & she's mine. It has 2 very minor dings in the paint on a couple corners & the thumbscrew O-ring is compromised but at least I saved it from sittin' in the display case for the next few years. Oh, the manual was pressed into the bottom of the box all wrinkled but I'm just being anal.
I can see why it was a limited production run. It can sound dark & muddy even at low dist & drive levels but I think it'll shine with lead turned up to a dime. Anyway, its the first of my foray into the collectible side of BOSS. I could have got the NOS EH-2 for half a hundred more but I'm sure it'll be available a year or two down the road when the owner gets tired of lookin' at it. |

| Hey Strat, any fav settings on yours? Its a good middle-ground between the MT-2 & OD-3 but as muddy as it is, strings get lost in the chords if you know what I mean. I wish it had the same roughness but more clarity. |

| Defraq, i lvoe the PW-2. its very unique. the secret is the 2 middle knobs. just like the XT-2s middle knobs, the slightest adjustment can make a world of difference. |
