I really thought this was going to be fake. Boss probably had seen the demand of the DD-5 and realized they are lossing out on profits because the DD-6 is lacking the external footswitch. Smart move Boss!

Although I just got my DD-5, now I may want to sell it around the time that the DD-7 comes out.

Did anybody else notice that they is no specific setting to use the tap tempo on [the DD-5 was 7-10 or something] so this pedal hopefully always tap tempo on every setting!

If I remember correctly, the tap works on all settings. I recheck it tomorrow. I know it worked on the reverse and modulation settings as well as the straight delays. The ANalogue is REALLY WARM!

It delay does not trail off after switching the effect off like the dd20.

DD-7 looks very musical. The reverse mode dropped my jaw. Modulation and analog are cool too. I think they knocked one way out of the park.

Very interesting...I'm only really interested in analog-sounding delay. I notice the DD-7 has an analog setting, which is great. So my question is: what is the delay times on the analog setting? Because obviously you can't set it on the analog mode then move it up to the 200ms mode on the switch...or I'm assuming...

I expect the analog mode to be a COSM emulation of the DM-2.
The RE-20 is able to delay 20 seconds longer than the RE-201 so the DD-7 will probably be able to delay longer than the DM-2 is able to.

Doesn't the RL-20 kinda sound like the Moog MuRF?

This pedal seems really cool, especially an analogue delay sound. But does the delay not trail off on all the settings or just analog? I like that my DD-5 trails off.

From my contact at Roland Scandinavia:
DD-7 will be on the Nordic market in May, retail: about US $220
SL-20 will be on the Nordic market in June, retail: about US $330

Yeah, now that you mentioned that. It is very difficuly to set in tempo the reverse mode of DD-5, the tempo input doesn't work in that mode.
But it seems that now you'll can to use the tap tempo in all delay modes. Very cool.

I agree with other posters ..the DD-7 does look great.....i think i will go for one myself and use my spare DD-3 on a smaller 'board just for acoustic with my GE-7......the analog sim and the tap tempo could really same me a lot of hassle and extra real estate on my pedalboard....
