| Hell no! Just on the price alone! it looks purdy, but I wouldn't touch it with a 10 meter pole for $500! |

| yeah, i saw that one too.. bloody hell, $500?? if i have some money to spare, why not... but still.. 500 bucks is still ridiculous, i know it's a rare pedal, and it's in heck of a condition.. but still no.. my advice, buy a rare pedal from someone that doesn't know its real value :) |

| do you have an account at ebay? if you don't, you should have one, they sell loads of pedals there daily, most of them are at reasonable prices too, except for a few, like the SP-1 that's on sale... anyways, just make an ebay account and send this guy a message, ebay won't disclose the seller's e-mail address anyways, you just have to send him/her an ebay message.. why? what're you gonna say to the seller? :) |

| I'm sorry, I was referring to your comment about the person with the rare pedal who didn't know it's value. I want to get in touch with them! Wouldn't we all? And I am an ebay regular. The one thing I haven't tried much is pawn shops ( at least we call them that in the USA ) - with ebay available to all it would seem to me that they know the value of the items they have better than ever. No more Blue Books! |

With the Internet and in particular Ebay, sellers know much better what they've got compared to 10 years ago. The buyers are also more educated now and it is more rare to see someone getting ripped off. I haven't been able to find that person who doesn't know what he's got so far. Chances are I wont find him as long as I'm looking for him on the Internet.
The SP-1 auction ended on $540. Personally I don't think it's worth it. I've seen similar items go for less than $300 this year and I wouldn't be surprised if the next one goes for half the price of this one. |

I recently purchase a BF-2B via a Belgian website for 20 Euro. I thought that was a good deal. Now I have agreed to buy a DS-1 for 35 Euro via that same website while there is a DS-1 on Ebay that stands at 48 Euro at the moment. So you see, there are still deals to be made via internet but not on Ebay since we are all buying there. |

| i've been away from the forum for a while, but I saw that SP-1 on eBay too. I'm glad Bossarea spotlighted it here. that SP-1 was in such nice condition, it hurt to look at it (with a pricetag to match). one day I might own a SP-1, but I couldn't pay even half the price that one ended up selling for.... |

| $500? no way!, on another topic if you want a bargain on ebay look for something you like with no bids, say PN-2 with a starting bid of $40, contact the buyer and ask them to add a buy it now say $50 if they don't know what the true value is they tend to take the offer. I have aquired a DM-2 for $60.00 a PN-2 for $35.00 and a silver screw DS-1 for 17.00! obviously this only works if there are no bids on the item and the seller is unaware of the true value. Try it! |

| black, i tried your method. and i got myself a CE-2 for 45 pounds. the thing is, i don't know whether it's a Japanese or Taiwanese pedal. What are my chances of getting a Taiwanese pedal instead of getting the Japanese one? I hope i'm getting the Japanese one. Please God help me... i forgot to ask when i bid for his CE-2. Is it a good deal? a CE-2 for 45 pounds (includes shipping)? bossarea? any thoughts? |

45 is about the normal price for a Made in Japan CE-2. I can't remember exactly but I think I paid about the same for my own CE-2.
Don't worry too much about where it's made. They're probably both identical on the inside. |

| From what I can remember, the MIJ and MIT CE2s are exactly the same inside. My MIT version even has a MIJ circuit board inside. |

Sure (took me so long because I was on holiday), but I have to warn you that the web-site is in Dutch . There is no search-function (adds are just added on top of the page and go down as new adds are added), all adds are put together (guitars, effects and amps ) and usually you are supposed to collect the item in Belgium (although you can agree by e-mail that the item be send to you).
So, taken these restrictions in mind: http://www.humo.be (look in the 'WiezoektTieVind'-section under 'Instruments')
Some extra info: Humo is a weekly magazine focussing on TV and radio in Belgium, but they also report on politics and they have a very good music-section (interviews and CD-releases). They also sponsor some of the Belgian festivals and they organise the 2-yearly "Humo's rock rally" which is THE number-one forum to get your band know in Belgium, if you win it (or end-up in the top-3) your music-career is launched (but only in Belgium...)
So, if there are any more questions, just shoot. |
