nope, the url of the picture is missing a bit in anycase it must end on a picture format like .bmp or .jpg or .png To avoid getting the % sign's don't use any spaces in the file name or any other strang characters. Just keep that in mind for next time. the picture should still work fine.
This is the current URL:

| that really looks like a stock crate speaker. down to the speaker sticker on the magnet. Many moons ago, I worked at SLM Electronics, and saw tons of these... |

so would you put money on it being a crate whose grill was mysteriously replaced? you seem pretty convinced.
though you said these were from the late '80s to early '90s... these speakers were definitely made early 1995.
thoughts? |

Hi Jack
you never commented on the sound...? how do you find it as a cab..?i have what i believe to be eminence speakers in my musicman amp, they sound pretty good to me......i also have a no name 2 x 12 cab i was given a few years back..at best guess from the grillcloth i think it's an old Vox 2 x 12 PA cab from the 70's...when i opened it i found two old celestion greenback speakers inside.. .sounds really sweet with my marshall head.. ... |

Hi jackderringer!
Those drivers do look like they might be 75W guitar drivers. In my mind, the size of the magnet and overall look of the driver supports the email you have from Eminence.
I stand by my earlier thought that this box will probably be a 150W 8 Ohm guitar box, and that it should be good for a guitar amp up to about 100w.

ok so you guys caught on to my ruse: i just wanted to show off the fact that i own one!
in all honesty i can't deny that i smirked a little when i saw that the corner of the foot controller made it into the pic
there will be pics when i finally get my board set up (i'm putting the scc-700 on a pt-pro) having some issue though because i don't want to velcro her bottom
many thanks to laurie and mervsmods for your help, i'm still a little peeved to learn that i was sold a guitar cab but at least i know what i have now. i'm selling anyway so i suppose i don't have much to be upset about. |

if anyone is still as interested in this topic as i am, i found references to my speakers on various boards and on craigslist. consensus seems to be that they were part of the legend series, were emi's attempt at a greenback clone and that they're 75 watts. even found a couple pics! all the ones i saw had stickers on the back. no clue why mine is naked. pics in links.

| Any of you remember the old Radio Shack musical instrument speakers from the mid 70's early 80's? I have a home made cab I purchased back in 86 and I loaded it with two 15's, with the chrome center caps! It sounds pretty darn good! |
