we had a bit of a discussion regarding the Dunlop Q Zone QZ-1 Crybaby vs. the Boss SP-1, in an older thread here:
http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=335
... but I decided to open a new topic in the "non Boss gear" forum to continue it.
so anyway, the Dunlop QZ-1 is a sort of wah effect without a footpedal, designed to give you that so-called "cocked wah" sound without having to wedge a piece of cardboard to hold the wah footpedal in one position. more info is here:
http://jimdunlop.com/products/electronics/crybaby/products/qz1/index.html
my question is, has anyone directly compared the QZ-1 vs. a Boss SP-1? the QZ-1 seems like it would be much more versatile than the SP-1, but since I'll never be able to afford a SP-1 for comparison, I'd appreciate someone else's opinion. the user reviews at Harmony-Central were helpful, but favorite QZ-1 settings would also be welcome here....
