| I want the Nova Delay so bad! I read up on the Nova Reverb & I was surprised to find how many people said the Verbzilla was better! |

Hi Mully. I heard you mention the signal going A/D and then D/A... I can only assume that means turning it from an analog into a digital signal and then back again. If thats right whats wrong with that? Is there some signal loss? I actually thought both pedals sounded pretty great as far as verb go :)
Heya...
well I guess it's just an esoteric reason.... but my logic is this.... why having an expensive point to point wired tube amp that's all analog and a few pedals that may not be point to point handwired but are at least hi quality why converting something back and forth from analog to digital and to analog again somewhere in between.
I'm totally fine with the reverb tail being digital since digital has come a long way and can do REALLY nice verbs... but I'd like my dry signal to stay analog.
I know it's no real logic but it's something I think is important (if it makes sense doesn't really matter)
cheers, mully
Thats why i run my backline the way i do...to keep the vintage Marshall tone there in the middle and the reverb in a 'stereo surround sound' type of situation ..i even run a two channel tube preamp AFTER the rack units and before the poweramp to 'warm up' and EQ the sound again before the poweramp.... |

| Maybe looking at local ads can help getting something cheaper and new, as some people seem to be buying it looking for something different and end up selling it. I saw an ad here in Spain a week ago or so with one of the Fender series, don't remember much as I wasn't interested. |

| I paid £98. Couldn't find it cheaper anywhere. Sold a couple of pedals I wasn't using so that softened the blow... |

Most guitar shops here have them listed for $230 :0
I've found some on ebay for around $160- $180.
Anyone else know where I could get a cheaper one?
Are there any cheap US online guitar stores that ship to Australia? |

Hey Dasbeef, I have a FRV-1 and I would highly recommend it. The sound is amazing and it gives you alot of tonal options. it's a great pedal! |

I've never found a decent reverb in a pedal. Some amp (Fender et.al.) spring reverbs are OK. If you want good quality reverb hardware then rack gear is the only answer. You really need to be looking at stuff from Lexicon, Eventide, TC, etc...
I never record anything with reverb... always add it later as small difference can make a huge difference to the mix.
A lot of software plug-ins are good nowadays too.
