Was passing by the music store down the street, and popped in to see what they had. (yes the eh-2 is still there, tempting) but they had a boxed FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz. Immediatley I ask to see it, after prying out the box, there were the instuctions, whoa more like a fold out
Instant sale! As soon as I got home, and punched in the s/n (starts with ZF, kinda funny fz-zf) and it was an early one, a June '93
Tried out each sample setting, and the Gain mode made my mixer clip, thats a lot considering I couldn't do that with a sd-1 and ds-1 combined
and I was saying to myself I wanted more dirt pedals than the above two,
one more to scratch off my wish list, so many more to go...

got the boxed fz-2 $90 w/tax, nice surprise
roughly about the same evilbay with the shipping
few paint chips, grimy til i wiped clean
i noticed one of the screws were missing, and a loose one. after opening it, it turned out the battery adapter was replaced, thought it looked different when i was checking out the s/n

Songbird is closed on Sundays, which is usually the best day to go pedal shopping

There is a CE-2B, the brown one bass chorus. It is almost like NOS, only has a small paint defect near the DC input and the grommet is worn. The problem is they want about $130 usd for it. Would you buy it???

Bought the new DN-2 a couple of days ago and have tried it out a bit. This is a very dynamic pedal for sure, I like it a lot.
Sounds great before FBM-1 and sounds great all alone too.
It goes from about clean boost to really heavy distortion, and its good at it all. But I think it works best with the drive control in the middle section. The tone control acts much better than BD-2s.
I opened it up and saw the same sloppy soldering that Bossarea noticed, where the cables are soldered. I didnt like what I saw inside, a lot of ICs or what it is, looks like a computer inside but it really sounds good

I just picked up an OC-2, PH-3, and a 3-guitar stand all for $50CAD.

$20 for each pedal, and $10 for the stand.
