I have a dd-6 and the other guy in my band a dd-3. When you turn everything up to max you get that kinda oscillating sound. Although with the dd-6, when I stomp it off, you can hear it slowly fade out, BUT with the dd-3 it cuts it off totally and goes to silence.
Why is this? I quite like the dd-3 being able to do that as it is fun for guitar solos (Eg similar to Go To Sleep by Radiohead) although as it only fades out with my dd-6 I can not achieve this effect.
Has it always been like this? The difference between the two.
Thanks

I think Boss did the ”soft” off (with the delays going on after stopping) because it´s a nice feature in most cases, and I agree on that. The “stop” will not be as abrupt this way. If you want DD-6 to stop completely as you step on it, use a looper/true-bypass-box. There is a nice using by this “slow” stop, you can play a loop (with maximum feedback), stop the pedal, and play on top of the loop, start the pedal again and add to taste, stop etc etc, I like that a lot.

| yea i quite liked that it trailed off, its just that it would also be nice to sometimes have the abrupt stop. i agree with the loop pedal though, ive been meaning to get one soon anyway |
