Hey there, guys. I was curious if anyone knows the difference between the DM-2 pedals with a smaller logo vs. the larger logo. Some are lined up with the outside characters, some with the U's in oUtput and inpUt. Does it coincide with different BBD chips? Thanks!

*EDIT*
My small logo DM-2:
S/N# 12XX00 - BBD MN3005

Hi 5digits6strings and welcome to the forum.

I haven't actually noticed this font difference before so have no idea when the change occurred. Do you know the serial numbers of these two pedals? It could give us a better indication to when they changed it.

Thanks for the welcome, guys. I'm a long time lurker, but this question was stumping me, so I had to get it out there. I just grabbed the images I posted from the web, so I don't know their serial numbers. It seems that all of the wide logo pedals have the MN3205, but that's the most common one anyway, so it's not surprising. I'll be acquiring a short logo DM-2 soon, so I'll post the serial number once it arrives. I'm hoping it correlates with the MN3005 BBD!

Hi 5digits6strings

Welcome to the forum from Australia.
I sort of forgot to welcome you, after I added the HTML display code.

Would any of you with short logo pedals mind sharing the serial numbers to help us determine if they are all early versions (with the 3005)? Thanks!

Took he liberty of lifting this from zentropa's DM-2 ad:

SN 090400 circa August 1981.
Has MN3005 and MN3101 chips

It is a short logo one.

I've edited my first post and added the ones mentioned so far to make it easier to draw conclusions.

Hi Bossarea & Guys

Just a suggestion.

If you ask the seller of the DM-2 in this thread
http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5195
What type of BBD IC is in the unit, you would have another one to add to the list.

It looks like the Long/Wide Logo type.

Regards Dr. Bob
