Any users here?? Found one....hopefully I will get my hands on one...as I love my DD-2 alot But I have forgotten how they sounded....as I have not used one since the late 80s where I borrowed one of my mates for a job. Remember it to sound very alike or just as the DD-2?!? Also got myself a SD-2 again...love that one...I sit here and wonder why I ever sold it in the first place?? Only thing I did was to mod the crunch alittle, removed the two LED's and replaced it with two 4148 diodes, the two LEDs where paired up with another diode in an assymetrical setup(like they normally do )

| To my memory, I have both DSD-2 and 3, the delay is a bit harsher than DD-2. |

It's not as warm as a DD-2, but that's the sacrifice for added functionality.. same goes for a PS-2.

Thanks guys...well I am getting it....can always fool around alittle with the filtering if needed...but I have almost stopped modding Boss pedals these days, as I tend to like them for what they are.

Hehe well it is used mainly as a delay here...it is perhaps a smidgen more bright than my regular DD-2? Dunno I use them as a dual delay setup now...great rolls.

I played around with the DSD-2 last night and today.. definitely brighter than the DD-2.
I found that it holds oscillations really well without getting muddy or spiking in volume.. and even better, if you press the treadle and turn the mode knob from "delay" to "rec/play", it will pick up whatever it's delaying as the sample - then right away turn the knob to "play" and you have that sample saved and on-demand. Then the pitch-bending fun begins.

So whats the best sounding non-DD delay pedal? DSD2/3, PS2/3/5, MZ2? missing any? |
