On www.ebay.uk nr. 7356208730.

Did anyone of around here get this?
When I noticed this one I mailed them to see if is was working, and they could not tell me. Pedal without a backplate, well that is fine, but a non-working one??? Fine if I knew a cheap way to repair the pedal.

I was looking at that one. Have a feeling the bottom plate was used to sell another Taiwan-pedal as Japanese.
46 is insane for a pedal in this condition anyway. The OD-1 isn't rare so I'm sure another one in better condition will come along soon and sell for about the same price.

Cheers Bossarea, let us keep ourselves informed about these issues, I have another one here but it is regarding a DS1, so will open up a new thread so anyone can read it.

I myself was bidding on this one - but the prize ended to steep..

As far as I could tell from the pics it had a silver screw.. But now I wonder (because of bossareas comment about the backplate) if someone could take this silver screw and put it in another pedal to sell as an old one??

I never owned a silver screw (althoug a BF-2 silver screw should be in the mail) - is it directly interchangeable with the plastic screws?? Could you tell the difference?

Cheers

I don't think it is possible to tell if someone has replaced a black screw with a silver screw. I believe the threading is the same so they can be easily interchanged.

On my BF-2 the end of the thread of the thumbscrew has a blob of metal on it so the screw can't be removed. If I wanted to take it off I would need a pair of bolt cutters.

Again another thing people can fool us with, and I am sure it does happen.

To come back to the OD1, it went to the USA, now it could be that someone bought it just to copy its design, or someone just took it to get the parts..............but still at a high price.
