I feel you man. Bills suck and the economy is making matters worse for a lot of people. It may be time to sell some gear.

That's the one good thing about our hobby, our purchases maintain their value. If you have to sell something now, you can always pick it up again down the line when your situation improves.

I have thought many times about what I would sell if the stink it the fan in my house.

I'm not so sure about that. Nothing holds it's value anymore, except maybe diamonds, gold, silver, etc. But if there is no one willing and/or able to pay the prices, even those aren't holding their values. The only people I see who are buying stuff on ebay now are the ones who are buying stuff for a really low price and then turning around and reselling it on ebay for more then what they paid for it. I think they call it "flipping" items.

I know what you are saying and I agree. I just mean that relative to other purchases, hobbies, etc. these things maintain their value better. As an investment, it's not all that great. As a hobby, relative to other hobbies, it's pretty good.

Thats sad to hear bro'.... sorry to hear about the job..it happened to me 2 years ago when the arse fell out of the building industry here in Ireland..had to go driving a taxi and looking for more gigs....i started servicing my own amps for similar reasons as there are only amp techs in Dublin that deal with valve amps are they are waaay too expensive from what they do compared to other countries from what i've read on the interweb .. hope things work out for you.....

My best regards, I hope you will be able to collect unemployment, look into that ASAP. That's how I'm managing since I was too, laid off back in november. Like Pedal Dan says, peace and prayers!

I've been catching up on "rest" and "projects" for almost a year now...I'll be glad when the economy decides to turn around.

Hope you're not out as long...good luck...
