Thats very interesting. I think I'm gonna do a little search to find out more. Thank you. |

Ripped from Wiki
"There are several unlucky numbers in Japanese. Traditionally, 4 and 9 are unlucky. Four is sometimes pronounced shi, which is also the word for death.[3] Nine is also sometimes pronounced ku, which can mean suffering. 13 is also occasionally thought of as unlucky, although this is imported from Western culture. Because of these unlucky numbers, sometimes levels or rooms with 4 or 9 in them don't exist in hospitals or hotels, and particularly in the maternity section of a hospital, the room number 43 is avoided because it can literally mean "still birth." Therefore, when giving gifts such as sets of plates, they are normally sets of three or five, never four." |

| I found something similar. It made me figure out why their numbering seemed so strange. They also exclude 9 (in the GT series) so in the DD series probably only eight and ten are going to follow. |

| I think in the boss book it also says that they had back luck with the PQ-4 Parametric Equalizer pedal. So that's why there's been no CE-4 hah. |

Perhaps the PQ-4 wasn't popular when it was available. Maybe Parametric EQ's weren't understood well, leaving the Graphic EQ's with the bigger share of the market... Or did Boss have some sort of logistic or R&D problems with the PQ-4?
I don't have a PQ-4 but I do have a PQ-3B for my bass and I love it. It is so much better than a Graphic EQ. It's a shame parametric EQ's aren't more common. |

| Not a rumor, unfortunately, but I'd love to see Boss release a Twin pedal with a complete line of modulation, like a Line 6 MM4 or TC Electronic, but with the Roland/Boss quality. I would be probably the worldwide first buyer! |

As rumors are made, im going to make one there will be a TU-3 wall at namm. Arent you all tired of the TU-2 wall? For those new to the tuner wall it will be a pleasant suprise!

I have no idea what the tuner wall is, all I know is I need a tuner as I'm trying to move away from my GT-8 onto solid individual stomp boxes I normally try stuff at a local shop n purchase online at GAK but neither seem to have a TU-3 available. Comparing specs on the Roland website the only differences that I'd possibly ever utilize are the increased tuning accuracy (+/- 1 cent compared to TU-2s +/- 3 cent) and the improved LED.
Neither of these dont persuade me to wait for a TU-3 (I'm shockingly impatient ) is there anything I'm missing?
Cheers! |

I reckon another Fender COSM pedal...which I will still buy no doubt.
A 'Vintage Handwired Series' of silver screw PH-1, OD-1 and SP-1 together with a VB-2 and SG-1 would truely make this new decade for me...
BOSS people if you read this - Dunlop / MXR have made it work for them. |

Welcome to the forum Radioheading, no you spotted all the differences . a lot of people on the forum have chosen for the Korg Pitchblack instead as it is true bypass and +/- 1 cent. I have my trusted TU-2 on my board and it's a great pedal!

Welcome to the forum!
The TU-3 is cheaper than the TU-2 (we've had them in shops for weeks here in Australia) and nicer to use. Tuning is a lot easier and quicker.
