Keeley DS-1 Seeing-Eye.
Serial dates to March 2003

I opened it up and found this. I know Keeley personally signed some of his early pedals, but does that look like his signature?

| Yes, the top one looks like Keeley's signature. The bottom one is probably an employee's sig. |

Love the signatures in your DS-1 Right Foot, gotta do the SE mod to my DS-1 one of these days.
Dropped past one of my local CC stores today that often doesn't seem to do any product research and look what should be waiting for me:

The best part is I got it for $60.
October 1981, its an early P under the S version and even has a 'use a coin' label so must have just missed out on the silver screw.
Not quite the score of my $50 DM-3 earlier in the year shown below but needless to say I'm happy!

Today I decided to visit an old CC that exists in my city (now its name is Cash Sandoval as the latter is the street where it's located and I don't think CC owns shops here anymore) and try my luck but it was worthless: just a zoom G2 (god I hate those pedals) and another expensive one, not a compact though. The guitars were pretty much fucked up ("never used" signs on top of guitars with three broken strings!) and I found nothing at all.
I envy you US lucky bastards... xD
PS: shouldn't I use the f word anymore in this forum? I'm still pretty new... |

Hey Mansun,
I don't know what the CC stores are like in the US, from a few other peoples discussions on here they don't sound great. The ones here in Australia usually fall into 3 categories: the first type obviously has someone working there who knows music equipment and everything is priced at market value, the second never has any good stock and the junk they do have is way overpriced, and third the ones that for whatever reason have a higher ratio of good stock and don't do enough product research meaning items can be wildly underpriced or overpriced. I only hit the latter type and I maximise my chances by visiting frequently, only 1 in 10-15 times will you find anything good, you can't go once every six months and expect to find gold.
PS: The F word is fine by me.

Ok Stengah, maybe I thought it was the US CC's the ones with better deals... Anyway, I find more honesty out there than here in my country. I don't know, maybe is a misperception or something but it seems we only get rid of things when they're nearly broken. I've bought two pedals on ebay just this month and they were like new and well priced.
I don't remember seeing a Boss pedal at this CC I talk about though, but I could be wrong as I didn't need them until some months ago.
Good luck in your next searches! |

A few members may call this a family channel but we're mostly adults here & I think its acceptable if used sparingly. |

Me too. Although I don't know about you but I didn't have the funds to endlessly aquire gear when I was that age so probably best we didn't know about pedals back then.
