I have to sympathise with this guy though . . . the ONLY shipping company that I've ever had trouble with was UPS. I've had three things happen because of them that ensured that I'll never do buisness with them again:
1. Brokerage Fees. I don't mind if UPS has to charge me tax and duty, that is understandable. What I don't like is that they're the only company that I've ever dealt with who charges a fee on top of that. It's like they're charging me for the privelege of reporting my package to customs. And their fees are usually 15-20$ extra over the tax/duty cost. It's quite a piss off.
2. My roommate had a new graphics card shipped to him last year, and when he wasn't home the UPS guy went two houses down the street and gave those people the package. He then left a note on the door telling us that they had the package. Now, we don't live in the best neighbourhood . . . fortunately there was no problem getting the package back, but it's kind of scary when the delivery guy does somthing so reckless with your package.
3. When I had a package dropped off by UPS about four months ago I wasn't home. The delivery guy left the package on my front porch. In the rain. I mean, just common sense would tell you to put it at the door. Then when I called to complain, I found out that the guy SIGNED FOR ME. According to the people at UPS, I had been home at 10:00 in the morning (not at work) and signed to have the package delivered. Thank god nothing was damaged, but I will never deal with them again.
