making a pedalboard is fun stuff huh... not gonna lie tho i cant wait for mine to be done. I finally got a Crybaby wah! well im picking it up sunday traded a ds-2 i modded straight up for it. Once i put it on ill likely take pics. So far i need to pick up a SD-2, AC-2, PN-2 and possibly EH-2. At that point my board can be considered "finished" other than swapping certain pedals for different versions possibly. |

Hi Ptak Ever heard of G.A.S. It will catchup to you sooner or later.
I used to have just one CE-2 - somehow it started breading with the other gear.

So, exactly how many offspring did come from that first CE-2? |

i've used mates tu-2s and i'm not sure theres much diffrence apart from being visually easier, and perhaps the trackings slightly faster, i'm not sure i'd mind either way but both where the same price so thats how it happened.
and floydfan, lovely rack LOL , i'm envious.

At one point i was thinking about getting a TU-3 or a Kork pitchblack. But then i realised it would be a waste of money since my TU-2 does the job fairly well. "if it aint broke, dont fix it" |

How do you like that Tech 21? I saw one on CL a while back and I even called the guy but I never did buy it because he wouldn't let me audition it before I bought it. |

I think it's the best amp simulator I've owned... and I've own a fair few over the years. I could never get my POD or GT8 to be as good as the Sansamps I've used. It can do everything from super clean & classic rock stuff to the high gain Metallica-esque metal.
It can get a bit noisy with high gain settings but that's pretty common anyway... any noise suppressor will solve it.
Only thing it could do with is an XLR output. But the main output is more than enough to feed any PA anyway. |

I see you are using the delay in stereo. Why don't you have the Flanger connected in stereo as well? |

Hi Boss_8
Nice looking pedalboard case.
Did you custom make your pedal board case? Or is it a commercial one? And what sort of timber is it made from, as I said it's a nice looking case.

Dr. Bob,
You have an eye for detail! I can't take credit for making the case, it was actually a custom built briefcase I bought for my Dad about 20+ years ago. He gave it back to me a few years ago and it's been sitting in the closet ever since. Now that I have the pedal bug I needed a place to store them so I got the idea to retrofit it for my needs. The sides are made out of solid walnut and the top and bottom panels are a mix of walnut and maple veneer over plywood (furniture grade of course). I took out the piano hinge along the back and installed the quick lift off type of hinges. I sourced the black foam from Sears, it's used to put in toolbox drawers to organize all your handtools. It holds the pedals snugly in place while it's in use and also while in transit. The downside is it's a bit cramped and it can only hold 8 pedals Attached is a pic of the top.
Regards,
Doug
