I'm getting ready to mod a DS-1, and I'm trying to make sense of Brian Wampler's comments on the distortion-level effects of modding R13 and C8. The trouble is, I can't find a clear schematic from which to read the correct value of C8. Can somebody tell me definitively what the value of that cap is?

im looking at my torn apart (getting ready to mod one myself) DS-1

and it says on mine

0.47pF 50V (the original factory part) i havent changed any parts on mine yet...so that is the factory part

From the original service notes;

The value of C8 on newer DS-1 (PCB ASSY 7056234) is 470nF/50V.

The value of C8 on older DS-1 is 1uF/50V

That explains it. Wampler's scehmatic is for the old one, but his description in his Premier Guitar article references the "new" value.
