| I second that nomination, and follow it up with a nomination for the CE-2. |

I have a CS-2 also. It really is better than the newer CS-3.

| WOW! A COMPRESSOR taking the lead in the greatest ever category! I own all three (CS1 / CS2 / CS3mij ) in addition to a Way Huge Saffron Squeeze, Homebrew CPR, DOD Milkbox FX84, Guyatone ST2, and I'm on the wait list for an Analogman Bi-Compressor - so obviously I loves me comps, but I never would have expected one to win a popularity contest. We'll see how it turns out at the end but since I'm on record as saying if I only had one pedal to keep it would be my Saffron and the CS2 is the nearest Boss to that, I'll cast my vote for the CS2 as well! Go darkhorse! |

Hi all,
My favoutrite would have to be the DM-2, I like it when used into a cranked valve amp, you get depth without the mess of a digital delay.
But as a gigging musician I'd have to say the bast boss pedal is the TU-2 tuner pedal. I have one in my pedal board, I really don't think I could live without it!!
Cheers, Mat. |

I'm quite surprised to see the CS-2 feature so strongly! It's a very subtle effect, to the point where I once thought I should sell it and buy the CS-3 instead. Then I realised it's so good because it's so subtle. It's the only pedal I use that's always on!
I really like the DM-2 too but it's not half as versatile as the DD-2. |

I do have to say that the DD-2 is much easier to work with and has alot more time to play with as opposed to the DM-2. But, the DM-2 just has THAT sound, and I think that's why it's still so sought after. But for those of us who can't afford a DM-2 the DD-2 is just as nice. |
