I've noticed OC-2 prices seem to be heading up. I am keeping an eye on them because I'm looking for a dead one for a project...

Seen quite a few over $150 BIN over the last few weeks. That's maybe double what they were even a month ago. Wonder why?

I think they're just in short supply generally, Octave pedals are quite popular and people just don't want to let go of them-

Yeah I saw your first post asking for the guts many moons ago and I havn't forgotton, theres just been none of them around really since then for a reasonable price like you say.....

If a dead one appears over here or one with a bust case or something I'll try and aquire it if I can get it cheap- I could use a case as it happens......

Be quite interested to see what your going to do with it to be honest.... I'm hoping its going to be some kind of alteration to the tone generator....... or perhaps to the pitch tracking maybe....

I'm presuming the behringer clone version would be no good and it has to be boss?

Hi, would you be looking for a OC-2 which is made in Japan or taiwan or either? I have 2 taiwans. One in mint condition and a scratched on if your interested. I'm in the UK but I can post to America (I assume that's where you are as you are talking about dollars) What sort of price are you looking to pay?

Hope this helps.

Hi Patrick
I know & understand that you are still new to our forum.
But as a Moderator, I have to make you aware, that we have some simple Buy & Sell guidelines/rules.
Which you can read in this Sticky Thread:

Guidelines for the buy/sell forum
http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=76

Thanks for understanding.

Regards Dr. Bob

Hi Patrick

Thank you for your recent (PM) Private Mail.
Explaining the situation, & that you were only trying to,
help out the members chasing the OC-2's.
We did understand that fact.

The rules & guidelines have been set in place by the Site Admin.
And technically it would still be a sell-buy.

I don't belive it will be necessary to remove your post.

We're are all pretty easy to get on with here.
And I see that you are posting in other threads, & hopefully,
you'll continue to do so.

As one of the Moderators, it's my unenviable task to make members aware of the rules & guidelines that have been put into place for all of us.

Please don't think I have zeroed you out.
I make many such posts a month, as the other members here will attest.

But in the end, the final decision is in the hands of Bossarea Admin.

Regards Dr. Bob

No worries. I don't see a need to delete any posts.

We need to inform about the forum policies but we try to apply a bit of common sense as well.
The rules are mainly there to protect us against professional sellers, registering just to sell stuff and I don't believe you're one of those.

Thanks for the response! Looking for one at the "right" price... hence my thinking it will need to be beaten up. (plus I don't actually need the case).

I'd like to explore it further... PM me if you would like to also.

Hi, thanks for not deleting my post.

Don't get me wrong, I do sell at lot of boss pedals in my ebay shop. However I'm not about to start posting everything I have in an attempt to sell, sell, sell!

I understand it's hard to get certain boss pedals and I have a lot of contacts within the music industry so I imagine I will time to time see if anyone is interested and try and help get rare pedal for collectors.

I'm a guitarist myself and a collector of vintage pedals such as Jen, Electro Harmonix etc. Anything really pre 1980's so I know the frustration involved in trying to get the one's you want .
