That will definetely all work, those mods are all part of the Monte Allums SD-808 mod (which I highly recommend). Except for the D6, which isn't removed but replaced by a 1N4002 diode.
I'm sorry, I just can't give away anymore parts of the Monte mod. That wouldn't do justice to their otherwise awesome mod kits. |

I tried that mod a while back, it was good. Brighter Then I went ahead and modded the rest to 808 specs, larger caps and smaller resistor values, also a chip swap. Had a switch for assymemtrical clipping to add or bypass D6 Lent it to a friend a few months ago, cant remember what it sounded like. Getting my third SD-1 on Thursday for another mod, always gonna keep a stock SD-1 on hand
good luck, let us know the outcome

A few questions on this mod:
How would you insall a switch to either miss D6 or have a 1N4002 in that posistion???
And is there any place in the UK that sells one of those things you can change out opamps from stock to a diffrent one???
And how would you go about changing a LED to a bright blue one as id probably do that as well while i was modding a SD-1 as i like the blue LED of most of my MXR Effects. |

To make a diode switch is really easy, with a dpdt switch. Wire the middle lugs to the holes in the pcb. Solder the diodes on both ends to the lugs. Make sure all the polarity is the same. If you don't want to drill a hole, the battery chamber is large enough to fit a toggle switch. Bit of a hassle to toggle it, but I fit one in my DD3 for the analog sound, but forgot it there sometimes.
You could find the opamp sockets at most electronic stores Monte here has some good descriptions of the different opamps http://www.monteallums.com/pedal_mod_parts.html#chipdescrip
No really, its my most cosmetically beat up pedal '85 MIJ, but I love it Stopped by the store today, and they put away a SD1 aside for me
