Hey all
I have a Boss DS-1 Distortion pedal. I like the distortion but it has no volume at all. You have to crank the level and it is still low.
Is there another Boss Distortion pedal with big distortion and a strong output level?

i've only used the ds-1, the hm-2 & the pd-1. of the three i like the pd-1 best. it's not a compact (looks like a wah), but it has a fuller sound & the boost function is pretty cool.

My personal fav is the DF-2. IMHO it just sounds really mean and gritty.

I like the MD-2

I do not use it for ~Metal~ tones.

I use it for a high gain sound like a DSL marshall.

Much smoother than the DS-1 like distortion channel on my Roland bluescube30

i find the MT-2 is still best for rhythym distortion, and I use the DF-2 or SD-1, or both together for lead.
