Does anyone know why the RV-3 was discontinued? and if Boss will reissue it in the future? Thanks for any info.

I don't really know why it's been discontinued, but they never re-issued a pedal so I would be suprised if the RV-3 is the first...
great pedal though!!

Greetz!

My best guess is that it was replaced by the RV-5 and it didn't make any sense to produce 2 so similar pedals.
It can still be found quite easily on Ebay

I agree that it is a great pedal, and as far as I know, is the only pedal that has great reverb and delay. The "Guitar Solo" setting is awesome.

the RV-2 has also a delay function but not in combination with the reverb so I think I have to find myself another RV-3 again...

I'm always looking for the right delay/reverb combination for my Hammond and at the the moment I'm using a RV-3 in preference a number of dedicated analog pedals. I love it!

I had one years ago. It was my pride and joy. It's next on my re-acquire list.

There's always plenty on ebay. I've seen a few get sniped for ridiculous amounts, like, 50 or 60 bucks. But usually go for a good $100+ and most probably closer to 130-150. So with shipping costs you're looking at a good $150.

I've searched completed auctions and every once in a while someone who doesn't know any better puts one up as a Buy it Now for like $50. But I've never been lucky enough to catch one of those.

It really sucks it was discontinued but I'm guessing it's because they wanted to try to get people to buy a DD-6 AND an RV-5.

I think its a great pedal too.
Does anyone know about the hicut for the rv-3? On analogman's site he says it can done to work on the delay function only, even works in the delay/reverb without effecting the reverb function
Is it the same as the dd-3 hicut mod by adding a .1-.47 cap to the effect(balance) pot, or is it the feedback pot?
