Hi there chaps. I'm new here, and this is my first post, but I've been finding this site useful for some time now. Hope you find my occasional posts interesting.
Here're some pics:

...and after:

I don't know if anybody here has heard of, or used, Biyang pedals. They're affordable Chinese models, but made better than some other cheap brands. Here are two of theirs, the AD-7 "analog" delay, and CH-7 chorus:

The AD-7 is actually a PT2399 type, a digital chip found in many cheap delays:

The CH-7 is a BBD chorus unit:

They sound better than I expected, and are worth trying.

Hi nathanscribe! Great first post! Welcome to the forum!
I've been contemplating a Biyang fuzz pedal (presumably a clone of the Big Muff). have you tried that one? |

Thanks Laurie.
I haven't tried the Biyang fuzz, no. I do have the OTD-100 'pro' tube overdrive, which is very nice. They do 3 versions with different tubes; I know someone with the standard version who's very happy with it, which is what prompted me to get one. I think the tube selection is the only difference. Based on my experiences of the Biyangs I have, I'd say go for it. They complement my other units well. |

Boss HC-2 Hand Clapper, sn.51xxxx, Feb' 85:

Go this today. I've not got any schematics for the clapper yet, but will trace it out later. At first glance, the circuit looks similar, but not identical to the one found in the TR-808/909; the only obvious changes seem to be the controls. The noise circuit is digital, and seems to be the same as in the DR-110. I'll be able to confirm this when I've copied out the circuit.
I haven't found any useful info on the 5223 ICs yet; I presume they're just opamps. |

Seems I'm hogging this thread lately! Oh well.
Here's a couple of pics for those of you interested to know how similar the new Behringer Chorus Space C might be to the old Boss Dimension C or Roland Dimension D units:
Behringer Chorus Space C CC-300

There are differences to both the Dimension C and D; but without analysing it, it looks to be broadly the same thing - modern Chinese remakes or the old BBD chips and the 571 compander look to have been used.
It sounds OK - I don't have an original to compare it to, but for 20 I'm not complaining! |

| Interesting. Are those LEDs original? I'm guessing they're for clipping... |
