| ive actually found it hard to use effects WELL in a live environment. playing that loud, you really have to use all effects in moderation or they can have the tendency to take over. and depending on the club/spot your fx and not to mention overall sound will vary. i find that most effects sound best at bedroom level, and like i said for live or a jam i try to limit the use. |

I love The Netherlands! My wife's Dutch and we've visited a few times. Our boys have just got their dual-citizenship too (they're nearly 4 and 6 years old) so we plan to visit again soon. |

Have you got your children to speak both languages?
It could be done, your wife could speak Dutch since she is a native speaker while you could just speak English to your children. You would need to be quite constent, but by doing so your kids would master two languages. I know, it can be confusing for them, but could be fun too.
Heh what do I know eh?, as they may already speak both tongues.
so what about cycling?, have you got them into that too?.
Whereever you are in this world, people always remark about the kind of bikes we use in the Netherlands. Funny really, as they look so common to us, but to foreigners they must look like some kind of alien tool.

Unfortunatley we never got our children to learn Dutch. A real shame now that I think about it.  We really should have tried. Although my wife moved here when she was only two so is not really fluent at all. SHe can't really speak much at all so she would have to be learning all over again.
I love the bikes in The Netherlands! They are so heavy though. But well suited to the type of terrain. Very solid too!
My boys ride very well. We had them with the training wheels for some time and then one day I thought I'd just take them off. The 6 year old (was 5 at the time) just started to ride! Seems the training wheels were actually holding him back.
Live and learn, I say.
