New in a box? Don't you mean NOS? New Old Stock, sitting untouched on some shelf in some dusty guitar shop or something like that...
Yeah its a good deal, see if you can talk them down to $50 even including shipping.
You may want to 'recharge' the electro caps if its been unused |

Right you are, new old stock, sorry the lingo is a bit new to me.
"Recharge the electro caps?" Huh? Do I need a PhD for that? What's involved? |

TM:
10 years ago these were the most common cheapest pedal you could find, often in the $10-25 range. they are a bit more nowadays, but i woudln't recommend spending more than $40 unless you really want it :)
i guess if it's got the box and manual that would up the value a bit. |

I am not sure what they mean by "recharge", but over time electrolytic capacitors can degrade a bit, and a common thing to do is to change on the electrolytic capacitors on older devices. |

There was another thread about if electro caps degrade when sitting unused for years. Wasn't meant to freak you out. |

EH-2 is one of my most used pedals, it does something very nice to the tone, both clean and distorted. I like it a lot and have two, just in case Even if you can get it cheaper than $50 I think you should buy it. My opinion is that EH-2 will become a collectors item sooner or later.
