Hi Guys
I guess I really posted this for Laurie & any other ex-pats.
I couldn't resist it, every time I try to use this new tubed Vegemite, I keep thinking how much it really does look like toothpaste.
Apologies if you thought this was a real post about Toothpaste...
It seems that the Kraft company, that makes Vegemite, have decided to release Vegemite in a 145g toothpaste looking tube.

I guess it's great if you go camping, but Vegemite on toast, just hasn't been the same, since Mrs. Dr. Bob, brought this home, thinking it was a good new idea.
It's difficult to use/dispense, especially if you have grown up with Vegemite in glass jars.
Now if you were really keen??? I guess you could try using this as toothpaste.... Narr? Maybe? Yes? No?
So what's this got to do with Pedals - Guitars - Keyboards - Music? Absolutely nothing...
Regards Dr. Bob |

But you never said, if you use it on toast, or as toothpaste? |

Will always be known as Marmite to us Brits!
Never ever seen it in a tube though - wonder if it could get mistaken for Preparation X - best not leave it lying around in the bathroom?? |

Hi The_Doc
We also have Marmite here in Oz. It might look like the same, but it tastes nothing like Vegemite.
If you were brought up on Vegemite, then unfortunately, you probably won't like Marmite. I guess it's the same the other way around.
Rule number-1 for Vegemite: Less is best...

I remember the old Men At Work song "Land Down Under" that mentions that stuff, I always wondered what it was...I'm still not sure |

| mmm.. salty goodness. I think to those who don't eat either regularly, they're quite similar. I can't remember if I had Marmite or Vegemite when I was in Malta (part of the commonwealth, but more Maltese in OZ than in Malta itself!). |

| They've (relatively) recently introduced squeezy marmite in the UK... I prefer the old glass jars, where you have to dig in with a knife to get anything out... mmmmmmmmtasty. Nothing beats marmite on toast. |
