Also I do wonder who Fender's target market is for these - my guess is younger players who want the look but can't find anything vintage.

What I want to know, is where did you hear this from? Who talked?? I'll do my best to settle any client dissatisfaction. .
As I maintain nearly complete client confidentiality, I am surprised to hear that anyone would complain... but suffice it to say, I'll do my best to give your guitar that look of "living the blues".

The headstock on this G&L looks pretty clean now, but after the Disco Stu "After the Flooded Basement" vintageization, you'll think Keef took it on a working holiday to Marseilles !! The trick is genuine Ukrainian cigarettes soaked in rare Persian Brandy, and left to burn under the B and E strings for a secret amount of time.

To actually see - your secret - how totally awe inspiring.
I will be sending you all my beloved instruments & my collection of CE-2's including the packing boxes.
I gather you have a premium charge for relic-ing the packing boxes & manuals?

Quick Hendrix relicking technique:
Requires:
1 can of lighter fluid (or reasonable substitute)
1 box of matches
1 fire extinguisher (optional, but recommended for safety's sake)
Quadruple the value of your guitar in minutes... |

I can recommend poteen(irish moonshine) also as a suitable alternative to the brandy.... if you ever wondered why irish racehorses run so fast........the late great Rory Gallagher also was known to like a drop...didn't do his strat any harm..... .. |

Why yes, it is rather tiny. That's my vintage (early-seventies) Stihl 020 AV... I don't use it for firewood, just for doing the rough-in on the relic process. I do want to buy a dime-tip bar for it to use in carving... it's a great little saw for chainsaw carving.
For firewood, I've got a Stihl 026, a couple of Echo's, and some mid-seventies Homelites for backup... one 360, one Super XL. |

| I just read a review on Musicians Friend and it says that these guitars are made in Mexico at a price of $950, is that right? I though it was American made or at the least, Japan. |
