I know in the manual that there's settings for harmonization with perfect 4th, but can someone tell me how to set the PS-2 for 3rds? Like Thin Lizzy harmonies?
My music theory is pretty much non-existant and I don't know how to adjust the fine tuning knob in relation to my tuner needle reading...

you basically have to plug a tuner into the PS-2's tuner out jack, play a note on your guitar, and then tweak the fine tuning knob until the tuner reads the corresponding pitch-shifted note (up by a major third). in other words, play a G note, and then adjust the fine tuning knob until it reads a B (B is a major third higher than G). your guitar's intonation will affect your results somewhat, but once you tune the pitch shifting for one interval, then the pedal should give you that interval for all notes (in all keys). hope that helps!

Just been reading the manual..says the tuner out will show on the tuner the amount of pitch shift from C. I hooked my amp up to the tuner out and the pitch did not change depending on what was played on the guitar, it was continually the same regardless.
It says "for example, to pitch shift a semi tone, make the tuners display show C# when the effect is off.
I am totally confused now.. Do I need to get the tuner to show E? my tuner already goes green to show that i'm standard tuning when it's set for perfect 4ths mode though.

| For a major third, yes, you need too make it read E. I don't know if you need to fine tune for each switch option, I'm not really familiar with this pedal. |

| I'll have to check this tomorrow or this weekend to be sure (it's too late to make noise tonite), but I think that your PS-2 must be stomped 'on' to tune it for the specific pitch-shifted interval you desire. (and be sure to hook up yr tuner to the 'tuner out' jack on your PS-2, and conect your amp to the 'out' jack on the opposite side of the PS-2.) |

Heh yeah I only hooked it up like that just to hear what actually comes out of the tuner out output.
If you could check this for me sometime, that'd be greatly appreciated :) |
