Hi there

I'm new to the forum and have been trying to use the search function to look for posts of interest. When I hit the search link, the window with the search dialogue opens, but it just says "loading......" in the search field and does not change no matter how long I wait.

Am I doing something wrong? Any other advice?

Cheers

Max

I use www.altavista.com

Click on "advanced search" and enter your search terms at the top, then enter "bossarea.com" in the "by domanin" box.

Works a treat.

The search page itself should work although it doesn't always return all results. What browser are you using?

I was going to replace it with google but then I discovered that they sometimes report a higher number of hits than they actually can find.

It's true, I've had trouble with this too. I asked recently about the AW-2, as my searches using the Bossarea tool failed to bring any results at all. Of course, there had been plenty of threads, and I felt a fool when they were pointed out.

I'm on OSX 10.3.9 on my laptop, which is my main machine for wasting time internet research. Don't see why it would matter though.

External search engine for me in future!

Hi

I'm on Windows XP SP3, I use Opera and Google. And I still seem to be having the same problems!

Cheers

G'day! This approach works every time...

Go to www.altavista.com and click on "advanced search"

Then enter your search term(s) and limit the search to Bossarea. The quotes around the search string in the example are to force the search to be for the exact string. Just enter whatever search terms you want.

Then hit "find" and you will get a bunch of good hits.
