Well got the old BF-2...had it for ages.... Just never thought about trying the HF-2! Anyone who has one? Spotted one today and is about to buy it. Price is not so bad.

| I prefer it to the BF-2, which I also love. It has a nice clear flange, and not as overwhelming as the BF-2 can be... |

It sounds like a pedal I would really love, except I've never even seen one in person here!
Let alone one for a good price. |

HF-2 + CE-2 = Heaven
The BF-2 SS is not that bad either.

| I like HF-2 a lot more than BF-2, the ”tone” of the first one is much nicer. BF-2 can be a bit overwhelming. |

i find the HF-2 also to be a nicer flange than the BF-2 but you would perhaps use them in different circumstances.
the HF-2 sounds great clean but even better with a bit of overdrive. i personally don't like the sound of distorted flange (BF-2) but the HF-2 is very musical with a bit of grit!
great great pedal |

I use the HF2 a lot.
Have a listen at the track Playing With Fire on our band's website. http://www.thesoj.co.uk/music.htm
Guitar has the HF2 on throughout... it's also responsible for the siren-esque noise that comes in after 15 seconds as well. |

Thanks guys Most appreciated with all the input. And thanks for the clip, sounds very good...very airy and spacy, cool music! Seller has not replied yet...but I am hopeful. By the way I use my flangers before my drives, I really do not like them after drive/dist.

I recently ditched all my pedals to use just a GT8. But I did keep the HF2, as I just cannot recreate it's sound on the GT8, even though the BF2 sound is easy to get.

HF-2 is a great flanger by all standards
A little out of topic, has anybody seen the legendary pink BF-2 (at least on a picture)? The one pictured in the Boss Book seems much lighter than a normal BF-2 to my eyes… could this be an example of the pink ones??

Maybe with bad photography settings, it could look pink, but beside a DC3 and a HF2, its definatley purple http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w283/ChristoMephisto/flangers.jpg |
