another killer chip used in delays and flangers etc. this is the coveted chip boutique people strive for. whats funny is you may have one in your older pedal and dont even know it.

panasonic made the killer ones. the smoothness is unsurpassed.

your thoughts?

Apparently BBDs are being made again. I believe it's Visual Sound that is having them made. Maybe there's hope that some classic pedals will be resurrected now that this is happening... Or at least some less costly clone versions!

Yeah, for sure! I realize that the pedals would cost several dollars more if they were done right the first time, but I think it would be worth it. Well, then again, that would mean anyone that bought a given pedal would be able to get (relatively) the same tone. Maybe it's better the way it is now! Easy to have a unique tone with a modded pedal.

Very interesting link. I wonder what this will mean for effects builders in the near future.

I checked that out about a year ago. But I heard that some of the old BBD makers started producing them on a relativly small scale. I personaly know a guy who has a whole stock of old BBD chips. i don't know if he has any old Panasonic BBD's but i could check for ppl and see.
