I have,for about 10 weeks, been doing statistics over all bosspedals and how many that been at auction at Ebay. I know that I've probably missed some.. If we're talking 'bout mij pedals not unexpectedly BF-2 and CE-2 are easiest to find.. But this week I've seen 1000% more PH-1 and PH-1r than the earlier 9 weeks. How come? Why do all people want to sell their phasers right now?
yeah yeah.. I've been trying to do a nice excel sheet with this but I totally suck so I don't.. Maybe I should scan my little "bosspedal notebook" that I carry in my pocket all the time..
I've noticed that phenomenon as well. I think it's basically one guy gets a lucky and his pedal sells for a lot, so others who owns the same pedal and sees the final auction decides to list theirs hoping to capitalise on the seeming value increase. EG on Oz ebay some dude sold a PH-1 for $180 2 weeks ago, and two other ss PH-1 have cropped up this week. Maybe coincidence or maybe the owners decided $180 was better than owning the pedal. Interestingly neither pedal is close to $180, but a lot of bidding can happen in the dying seconds. I remember Xmas 2005 4 or so PN-2s cropped up in a big bunch.
ive noticed similar things in the past. sometimes your fighting off HM-3s with a stick, and a month later you cant find one to save your life. some pedals seem to sell in packs
