Hi FatsoForgotso

What are the spec's on your Ampeg V4?
What do the four rocker switches do? It's difficult to read the the faded lettering on the front panel.

100 watts
Two Channels but the basically sound the same. The first two are the volume knobs. There is no master volume so this amp has two settings, off and loud. I it. heh. The middle three knobs are treble, mids, bass and a reverb to tie it up with a engage and disengage switch in the back. The really gem of this head are the 4 switches above the knobs. The first two change the sensitivity of each channel so it makes each channel have a bit more gain so individual notes stand out. The third is a treble eq and the fourth is the same but for mids. They allow you to back off on treble/mid, keep it the same, or boost it. Basically it allows you to make your tone treble heavy, mid heavy, or how you eq'd it with the knobs. They are really helpful. This thing will neuter a cat 50 feet away.

i believe he did in Kyuss. these days he just sticks to VT22s and VT40s. Regardless these are tone monsters, mine taking all my pedals like a champ.

I do not :)

$450. Thats a steal honestly. This model goes for 500 easy on ebay. Plus the guy grounded the power cable so I play with confidence during a lightning storm in the space needle . The 6550 tube mod is 200 or so and he threw in a custom vinyl cover. I'm in love heh.

I've got a little 2x12 with some celestions in it I got for about 100 or so. I pretty much blew all my money of this amp so I had to get a crappy cab. Oh and no more beer money for a while

Just get a bottle of jager, and you'll forget about beer, and everything else, for awhile...

The studio I record at has the Amp V-4 that's owned by Chevelle. We used it on the bass along with a mixed direct signal. It's sounds really good. Congrats on the cheap price paid.
