The original 7/15W Tiny Terror is Class-A & the guy says the Dual has the original circuit for channel 1. But if it can be run at 30W, how can channel 1 still be Class-A? Hmmm...
I've asked the question over at the Orange Forum & didn't get a response but the amp channels HAS to be footswitch selectable right?
Oh, probably the best place to buy an Orange:

Hi DeFrag & Guys
That's an Awesome demo, the Liquid Overdrive is a killer.
Do you know if it's truly all tube, or do they use opamps to boost the dive to the tubes like on some other amps?
Does your Tiny Terror have that same sounding Liquid Overdrive? I would sell off some of pedals for that tone.
Regards Dr. Bob |

4 EL84s & I think the liquid is circuitry in the Fat channel only. I used to crave VOX but Orange kills. |

...you grown up's shouldn't be playing w/ toys...go big or stay @ home ...naw just kidding ANY Orange amp is a good amp...but the modern Oranges DO NOT have the Baxandall tone stack in them...just the run of the mill FMV stacks...in their defence Orange's modern line are some of the best(build wise)amps on the market today! |

The only drawback is you need 4 men and a humpback boy to move the SOB's |

Baxandall tonestacks do work well, but how about the mids? My Laney has a Baxandall tonestack, with the mids being filtered out/booster later on. How do they do that at Orange? |

my Oranges are well endowed in the mid ranged area to begin w/....no matter how much you try you cannot get a "scooped" sound out of em ...I bought a Dual Rec yrs ago because a few of the gear heads I knew said they were the only amp on the market w/ FMV stacks that actually had a mid knob that did something when you turn it...but to my ears it falls within the same catagory as every Fender, Marshall, Peavey, ect. i've owned/played/destroyed...scooped horsesh*t...at least standing next to an Orange amp....couple of cool writeups... http://www.geocities.com/diytech_ct/orangetonestack.html http://www.blueguitar.org/new/text/threads/from_adam/baxandall-tone-stack.pdf

That's what I like about them. They have such a great range! The mid knob on my amp works, but not as good as the treble/bass knobs from the baxandall stack.
Thanks for the links |
