Ebay can also be an interesting place. I found my MIJ DS-2 in an auction of a guy who didn't know that being a MIJ was a valuable thing for his pedal. I got it for 46 euro including shipping, and that's what a new DS-1 could cost. In addition, the pedal looked as if it was on the shelves of a music store since 1987, in its box, never used before.
I was the same as you, looking for a used and decently priced DS-1, so keep up the search. |

Than you Mansun and sylvesterlowery. I would love all my acquisitions were that cheap. At the moment I'm checking prices of new Boss pedals in Europe and in the US just for comparison and Roland/Boss seem to sell their stuff for much more in Europe.
This reflects in prices of used pedals as well, I suppose.
Still, it makes me think of finding a new source. I'm not even telling you how much I paid for my Boss pedals, since you wouldn't believe me... ...ok, just a taste, for the same DS-1 (counted to USD) 76 without postage, second hand but new; BF-2 black label 105 (counted to USD), boxed but in terrible condition... not too good. |

| I love it, sometimes it sounds a bit digital with extreme settings but with normal settings, it sounds nice and warm for me. And I really appreciate a two-in-one pedal with my mini-pedalboard. I also think they are being sold a bit expensive (I paid mine 100 €, boxed in VGC). |

Fabs, yeah it does sound a bit cheesy when its at its extremes.
I just use it as a nice reverb, its on all the time i think its mode 11 that i use...its the one furthest clockwise. Sounds awesome |

And here are my 2 new pedals since my Sg-1 score.
I bought a DC-2 with out its box and manual, for the cheapest i could find it to replace my crappy CE-3. Its serial is 653600 April 1986.
This thing is amazing! I love it so much, its never coming off my board.
For its money, i guess its almost worth it. I mean i got it as a collector but im going to use it like hell!
And i found a PH-1r SS really cheap and beaten up with out its box and manual. Serial number is 0100 December 1980. Im very new to phasing so im still getting used to it. I like this thing because i can use it on clean sounds for slight phasing, and then i can kick on the distortion and this thing gives out such a huge volume boose its unbelievable! And yeah i know its missing its original resonance knob. My 3rd SS pedal

Nice find, Congrats.
I might have to start hanging around your end of town,
or maybe take some find-it lessons from you. 
Unless you have been visiting your mate in Dandy,
& hitting all the Pawn shops & CC's in the local area...
And you know there are heaps of them in Dandy,
at one time a few years back, I counted about 20 such stores.

Haha, I've been hitting up all the cash converters and pawn shops I can find, I still never find anything decent.
I found these 2 on ebay unfortunatley. 
One place has a MIT CS3 for about 75 bucks without a box and manual. I feel like offering them 50 because its been sitting there for so long hah! |

| Can I ask how much you paid for those two? I could be interested in getting them myself but the DC-2 goes up too high and the PH-1r is too old and people seem to overprice it too. Does it need a different kind of power source than your average Bosses? |

And my today's acquisition, it is the Boss CE-5. I bought it, although I really don't need it at all as I have my CE-2 coming for Christmas. I have no explanation why I bought it but something was telling me that I really need it... hope somebody understands.
