| I am not a huge fan of shred, but I do think that he is a good player. In half his videos though, his facial expressions make him look like a cheesy 70's porn star mid thrust (not to mention his hair). It doesn't get much better when he starts talking. |

I'm not a huge shred fan myself but i see it in the spirit of what it is... a bit of fun and aimed at people coming into playing guitar for the first time and thinking about buying a few pedals...when players get more advanced and maybe want to look at other stuff..maybe a few 'boutique' fuzzes etc.. there are a load of serious demos on you tube explaining and demoing these pedals..the fact he's explaining what a chorus pedal does,to me,tells me it's really aimed at the younger audience/beginner end of the scale.... |

I'm not sure I could ever fully appreciate the self-awesomeness that this guy posesses, however, he can shred (not my thing) and he is obviously enjoying himself (that's cool).... and you gotta love his enthusiasm. |

Hah this really, I can tollerate Johnnys vids. Hes so over the top he is cool. Much better than Andy from ProGuitarShop... Seems like a decent enough player but when he says "65 Amp Soho" I want to track him down...

Your obviously looking at all the same stuff i do.... .... yep he seems to like that 65 amp for some reason...personally i think it sounds a bit thin although they seem to be very popular with a lot of pro players at the moment....
as for Gearmanndude....?????.............. |

Gearmandude is a top reviewer. Who else would buy 400+ pedals just to make a review. He is really obsessed with the task, which I really love. Johny is more of a clown. A good clown. But who wants clowns, right? I think Franzoni is right with the aim at younger players for which I'm a bit sorry when I see presentations of other companies like T.C. electronics with their engineers and people who actually design the pedals and know everything about them. So Boss' approach here is more similar to Behringer (only that Boss has recently happened to be genuine or authentic Boss), which is not so cool. But at least they don't have Jason Spencer. |
