Sometimes people use touch up pencils or other fillers to touch up the finish on a pedal that has original paint missing, or just simply mask signs of wear.
Has anyone got tip on what liquids to use and how to safely remove this without damaging the original paint?
Lighter fluid is usually safe to use, I would not recommend anything with ethanol for cleaning, the risk of damaging the finish is there. Propylene alcohol (as used for cleaning video and tape heads) can be used with care, but test on a surface (of the pedal) that aren�t too important (in the batterycompartment for example).
