I'm looking for a decent power supply for my Boss BCB-6 and a Morley Wah. I'm, living in Thailand now and the only one I can find is the Gator G-BUS-8.
Has any one used or had any experience with this product.
I'm getting a ground loop hum from my CE-2 and TW-1 through the PSM-5, so I'm hoping that individual power sources with eliminate this.
I snapped up the Gator today. It was 2,500 baht or about 73 $US. Tried it out as soon as I got home.
I first tried powering the TW-1 and CE-2 independently but still in the chain while the rest were powered by the PSM-5. They were the ones making all the noise. Every thing was completely silent (with in reason).
I then tried powering everything in the chain with just the PSM-5 using the Gator of coarse. Totally silent again.
So I'm using 6 pedals in my BCB-6 with one output from the Gator, another for the Morley Wah and one more for a RC-2 Loop Station and it's about as quiet as plugging my strat direct into my Fender Concert.
As long as it doesn't crap out soon, I'm impressed. So...I guess I'd have to give Gator the ol' thumbs up!
