OK, I just found an Ibanez AC109 AC -> 9V adaptor for cheap. It has the same form factor as an ACA or PSA from Boss. The specs are as follows:
INPUT AC 120V 6W 60 Hz OUTPUT DC 9V 200 mA
Class 2 Transformer Anoma Electric Co., Ltd. Model AEC-4190c
So my question: is this equivalent to a PSA? Can I consider it a regulated, trustworthy wall-wart? Or should I stick with the Boss PSA for reliable pedal juice?
Can't find any specs on it... The only way to know is to find a schematic.
If you have a meter and can measure the voltage out of the AC109, then with no load if the voltage is close to 9VDC it is "probably" regulated and an OK replacement...
Yet another Power Supply question.
