If she doesn't work, then grow a nut & take control. As long as everything is taken care of, she doesn't have a leg to stand on. Unless she really doesn't have legs to stand on.
I see too many guys that are whipped & STILL AREN'T GETTING ANY! OMFG. Want to bet when my dad thought he needed a new truck that he didn't ask permission from my mother?

Let's see.. I think I can put it best this way...
Wife spends $150.00 on haircut color and, or perm. four times a year----I buzz my head with clippers $0.00
Wife spends $50.00 to $100.00 on nails (HANDS AND FEET) every two months-----I'm a guitar player, I bite mine (not my feet, can't reach antmore) $0.00
Wife stops at DD for breakfats and coffee every morning to the toll of $100.00 a month---I don't eat breakfast and I take my coffee to work from home $0.00
Wife spends untold amounts on shoes every year and must have fifty pair (that I know of at least)that spill over onto my side of our closet---- I have three pair that I've had for about five years.
If I spend a few bucks on some equipment I don't wanna hear a froggon word. And to her credit she could care less. Besides, I met her in the crowd at a few of our gigs way back when so, she knew what she was getting into
Now don't get me wrong here, I love her hair, nails and feet and the way her butt looks in heals ( that's how she hooked me in the first place) so I'm not complaining one bamn bit |

Mrs. Laurie has over 500 (you read it right) pairs of shoes... It's her thing and she's been collecting them for years. Lucky for me she frequents the consignment store more often than the new shoe store!

You need at least one pair of cowboy boots if you live in Calgary. |

My wife doesn't give me any problem about my equipment, the only thing she said is: Before the family economy and then the rest, she doesn't go to much to the coiffeur (she has long, dark blond hair and doesn't need too much care of it... on the other side there's me that spent 20,00 at month to colour the whites), she wear Converse or sandals, jeans and dresses made itself both the mother and sisters, she's curious for anything that concerning me and my art: loves the pedals, the sites that I create and all the rest, she chosed the colours of the guitars that I've bought (the Strato is light blue and white, like the rival team of my team soccer that she support ), she became the director of my Companion when the ex director leaved...
... nothing to say, this my second marry it's very very happy! |

I seem to have uncovered a bit of vitriol here All I can say is that my gear collecting is not discouraged at all, it's more that she doesn't really understand the appeal. Similar feeling from me when it comes to the shoes and the handbags...
Besides, there are worse things to collect, like stamps or old coke bottles |

I'm pretty much in the same boat, while i'm not a collector i've aquired a lot of stuff over the years but once it's not inflicting on the family finances things are pretty cool..... my previous comments were more about where to put everything,as the garage conversion hasn't happened yet and all my guitars and stuff are cluttering up the spare bedroom...this is more a bone of contention than buying a pedal as i don't have a yearning for a vintage Fender or Gibson that i would need to remortgage my house or sell a kidney to buy....but looking at the prices CE-1 and 2's and the DM series delays are going for these days...... i need to get the conversion happening as i need a space for recording the bands original stuff without having to pull all the mics,leads..etc... up and down all the time.... .plus the fact i'm bringing in a wedge from playing at the weekends helps offset any grief..... ..... |

To cross-platform a few of the previous posts. (TKO's & Laurie's):
I like the way Laurie's butt looks when he plays bass in his wife's high heels. However the painted nails aren't very becoming of you.
Sorry Laurie, I couldn't resist. TKO, stay away from him... he's mine!!!
