thanks guys !
it's the FIRST time I feel good on a 5 strings, I used to play B-E-D-C on a 4 strings, and did'nt like 5 strings, really !
I needed a better bass and though I could simply change the pickups on my fretless, but I found the Palmer : a sound I like, better pickups, and one more string.
so... |

Hi Kulten
What colour is your new Palmer bass? it's a bit difficult to tell if it's Black or a deep cherry.
I showed the picture & Your Video, to a few friends of mine & they said to tell you that they really like it as well.

thanks !
the color is "deep purple" according to the manufacturer, I would say it's between dark purple and metalic wine.
this is another picture from an online shop (I bough mine in a music shop, used).
http://www.bluaudio.com/immagini/art_f4_WOOFB05MRN.jpg
a few informations about the manufacturer : seems to be a virtual one, often send on e-bay, sometimes the models had other names (Woodrich) or other codes (B-05 instead of FB-05).
EDIT :
there's also a VB-05 with frets, and a slighlty different body.
here in a forum, two Palmer : a purple VB-05 and a black FB-05 :

from the same bass player, more pics of the black FB-05 :

new video with new strings :
I do love D'Addario Chromes 45-100 and I had a 4 strings pack at home, so I changed the strings and kept the low B (must be a Rotosound 130) :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAVuCcciDrM
the D'addario low B is a 132, I would prefer 130, so... |

| I don't like playing with the nylon sound. It's cool, I admit. |

Hey Witloof, I use nylon flat wound strings on my fretless... I love the sound (a little more like a double bass) and the feel is much nicer when you're sliding up and down the neck. Plus they are black = looks cool.
