Hi everyone
I just bought an RC-2 today and I don't know why I didn't get one sooner.
One thing I can't find in the manual is how to get the drum patterns to start before recording. It seems strange to just start playing without hearing the beat to 'get you into the groove'. I know the drum pattern joins in automatically and in time more or less, but still...
Does anyone know how to get the patterns going so I can play along and then hit the record while I'm into it?

Welcome to the forum Squibs! I can't help you cause I don't have one, but someone on here surely has one and might be able to help. Good luck and have fun! |

Select your drum pattern first, then turn the mode knob all the way to the right so it is on the music note. Press the pedal to get your drum pattern going or to set the tempo, then turn the knob to either auto rec or the record/play mode.
That should do it. Hope I explained it well enough.
To recap, set the drum pattern up in the music note mode, then switch to either record mode. The drum pattern will continue to repeat and you can loop in time with it. |

it's gotta be in the manual, my friend. check around the section where it explains about the quantization and how u need to make sure you are counting the beats so you start playing on the '1' count, else the quantization will mess up your measures.
anyways, I remember reading about this in the book because like yeah, u really do want the drum track playing so you can count yourself in before you record a loop.
great pedal, but if you take it off your pedal board for a month, one tends to completely forget how to work it |

I hadn't figure it out too, so thanks for sharing it's clear to me now. |

I could never be arsed to practice those bloody scales and solos before, now this little box makes it all so much more fun.
