ever use 2 effects at the same time? many interesting tones can be found like this. my favorite would have to be the classic MT-2 and EH-2 combo. Although i just tried the SD-1 and BD-2 and was blown away. whats your favorite "duo" secret formula?

At the moment, SYB-3 and HR-2. The wave shape (modes 8 & 9) sounds amazing with harmonies.

I got interesting results using a DC-3 to enhance the width of a CE-2 while keeping the overall pitch bending under control.

DS-1 into either an SD-1 or and OD-3... Wonderful distortion

I've been experimenting with a CE-3 and a PS-3 lately.
The sound can be made incredibly fat when using both of them.

thats a good idea. im gonna try phaser with flange. 2 delays would sound neat too. wish i could say the same for 2 wah pedals at once.

^^ i find the key to mixing similar effects (mod effects, delay effects) together is a slow rate on the phaser with a fast flutter on the flanger and keep that res down!

with the delays try a medium enough delay on one pedal then match it exactly on the next one. after you do this just change one of the delay speeds a small bit. it can get a bit trippy but there's loads of sweet spots to be found!

phaser and wah is sweet aswell. you can make it sound really modern or quite vintage (think hendrix funk etc.)

I guess this counts, for the band I am messing around with now, my Boss (Keeley Modded) MT-2 and Boss NS-2 are always on. It may actually become a Boss trio/Keeley duo combo as a Keeley modded DS-1 is on its way, and I had been experimenting with using the DS-1 for a clean (or as clean as you can get a DS-1) boost into the MT-2. It seemed like the distortion out of the MT-2 was thicker with a boosted clean signal going into it, anyways, I'll let you know how it turns out...

SD-2 and PH-1r; very flexible setup and incredible sound to boot. If you wanted to add another pedal to this combo, try a DS-1. Besides the ensuing tonal nirvana, these are very cheerful colours on the pedal board to look at next to each other

i have been messing around with the bf2 or my ph2 into my dd3 and into my analog ch1 to split the signal into stereo, the ph2 and the ch1 give a sort of leslie sound a bit like george harrision/clapton and with the bf2 and a bit of delay i can get that andy summers/police sound..... ithink the old ch1 and bf2's get some bad press.... don't know why ...?? maybe i'm just a child of the 80's...!!!

I thought that was great that George started using chorus in the later part of his solo career -- there was one particular tone he got that you hear on "Your Love Is Forever" from George Harrison and on "That's The Way It Goes" and "Greece" from Gone Troppo that I really like. It worked well with his arpeggios, I think.

EH-2 will be there for sure, and BD-2 or OD-3. EH-2 makes wonders even alone but I prefer to have some form of overdrive as I like to use a clean amp-sound, never use massive pre-amp gain.

hi stahlhart ..i think george was one of the first to put his guitar through a leslie speaker and legend says introduced it to clapton when he brought him in to play guitar 'on my guitar gently weeps'maybe his roadies got tired of dragging the leslie around and bought him a ce2...!!! but i agree 100% on the arpeggios the chorus sounds great, andy summers also used it to great effect as well as flanger...and james honeyman scott of the pretenders another great guitarist, like i said before i grew up listening to these guys as well as gilmour,metheny,etc.... you know.. all the usual suspects, most of the new guys all they use is that scooped mesa rectifier sound.... not really my cup of tea....but i suppose my sound is not for them either.!! anyway thats how music stays fresh and healthy by people doing there own thing....
