All overdrives are noisy...you should hear the spluttering that comes out of my twin tube overdrive on the lead channel if i forget to turn it off at the end of a song....but when we playing you can't hear it at all... i'm not sure exactly what the problem is here with overdrives and noise,i hate noise supressors or any form of noisegate as it kills the natural resonance of your guitar and amp....but then all the players i listen to use feedback ..Hendrix,santana,clapton,beck,carlton,ford.....etc....if you run two overdrives at the same time i a quiet enviroment your going to get noise but in a live situation witha drummer and bass player and possibly another guitar or keyboard player,at gig/rehearsal levels you won't notice it...i'm too busy concentrating on the music to care anyway..... ..... |

Yes, you are right on spot there. I feel the same. It´s not that. I use a lot of feedback and like it. And I do hate noisesurpressors and gates too. I will never use them. I guess that while recording I have to use another overdrive unit. That is what bothering me. I like to use the same stuff while recording as I use live. But I guess that I have to give up on that one. I like the BD-2 even if it´s noisy.
