Hi there, I just pulled my old CS-3 out of the pox it has been living in for the last year or so and it seems to be a poorly pedal indeed. If anyone can give me an idea where to look to start fixing this i would be grateful. I am pretty handy with a soldering iron and can read schematics.

The symptoms are:

* The power LED does not come on.
* Bypass works
* when engaged, sustain turned down and guitar picked hard it sounds ok BUT if i turn the sustain up or allow the notes to ring it starts to produce a hard fuzz (hard clipped)

I have got to believe it is for, some reason, overpowering one of the op-amps or something.

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi cleggton!

Is it an old MIJ CS-3? And are you powering it from a PSA supply as the only pedal supplied?

What power source are you using?

Hi, This is a Taiwanese CS-3, I am using one of these generic PS blocks. It worked fine last time it was out, and is powering my other pedals fine.
