Anyone seen the round stickers that can be found on some boxes? The stickers are about 10mm (3/8") across. There's no text, just a solid colour. These stickers was in use late 80s - early 90s based on them being on my CE-3, DM-3, DSD-2 and DSD-3 boxes. I've seen blue, green and black but haven't had a real close look so I may have some other colours in there too. |

I think I have seen Yellow and Blue. For some reason I thought it was just the store marking their inventory or something, and didn't think that it might be from Boss. Maybe need to see if the same colors were used for the same effect, or if they ran different colors. |

Found another sticker I haven't seen before. It is on my HR-2, and it is an CE sticker, it is both on the pedal and on the box. Sticker is very small and black. The label at the bottomplate of pedal does not have anything with the CE symbol on it. Pedal dates Feb. 95. Has anyone seen those stickers before? I think I only have one example of this kind of sticker.

That's interesting, I haven't seen the CE stickers before. Between Feb-99 (L9) and Jun-99 (M3) it is comon to see N225 stickers. |

Its possible they could be 'CE' labels, meaning it meets European Standards in health and saftey aspects. Maybe it was to bring the box itself up to specs with the contents. A couple years ago when the WEEE was introduced, its a trashcan with an X through it, had to due with correct disposal of electronical equipment. We were adding the small label to the box to indicate if was WEEE or not until we got the boxes updated. I got an OC-2 box without a CE, and a NS-2 with CE printed on.
hope this helps |
